For example, if you start off waking up at 8:30 a.m., try waking up at 8:00 a.m., then 8:05 a.m., and so on. The next week, set an alarm for 6:30 a.m. Then, once you’ve made the transition from sleeping in to waking up early, try to wake up even earlier in the following week. After six weeks, you can decide whether you want to continue to wake up earlier or go back to sleeping in.
